This letter from the 22nd Bombardment Group to Ruth Sengstake discusses Eugene Sengstake Sr.'s missing in action status, and that there is still hope of finding him.
Eugene Wagner Sengstake Sr. of Lincoln, Nebraska, served in the 100th Medical Regiment and later as a B-24 pilot. Sengstake served in the U.S. Army Air Forces from 1941-1944, and he attined the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. His service was in the South Pacific, including New Guinea. He was killed in action June 9, 1944 between Palau and Wake Islands.

Minutes from Waymire Cemetery Association Meeting, October 26, 1882
Gilded Age
On October 26, 1882, the association for the Waymire Cemetery in Western, Nebraska met to elect executive members of the association. The meeting was called to order by N.H. Moore and seconded by Harvey Waymire. G.S. Staley was elected chairman of the association. It was moved to elect 3 trustees to look after the cemetery for the duration of 3 years. G.S. Staley was chosen to serve as a trustee for 1 year, A.W. Waymire was chosen to serve as a trustee for 2 years, and Harvey Waymire was chosen to serve 3 years. A.W. Waymire was chosen to serve as treasurer for 2 years. It was decided that all persons buried in the Waymire Cemetery should pay in to the treasurer $2.00. The minutes were written by the clerk A.W. Waymire.

This is a Musselmalet pattern tablecloth handstiched by Anna Berge, Sarah Jacobsen's cousin. The blue and white thread was purchased in Denmark by Anna. It was meant to match the blue and white china, from family in Denmark, used for special occasions such as wedding receptions, birthdays and meals with family visiting from Denmark.
