Description
Lucile Grim and Grant Merrit were engaged to be married on June 28, 1941. On the Wednesday before the wedding, June 25, 1941, Grant died after a car accident. Instead of the wedding, Grant's funeral was held on the day of the wedding. Lucile received sympathy cards from friends and family members. She organized a scrapbook containing newspaper clippings of obituaries, sympathy cards, and scraps of ribbons from flowers received.
