Vincenzo Salerno, born in 1891 in Carlentini, Sicily, is pictured here on the right along with his unnamed friend. Vincenzo emigrated at age 18, arriving in Ellis Island on Jan. 19th, 1910. Vincenzo eventually ended up residing in Omaha, Ne, staying first at a boarding house which is the current location of the pub named Mr. Toad's in the Old Market District.
